Historical Museum in collaboration with Provincial Association of Historical Science celebrated the 150th birth anniversary of the strong-willed patriotic scholar Phan Boi Chau ( December 26, 1867 – December 26, 2017)

At the celebration, provincial leaders and representatives offered flowers at the statue of patriotic Phan Boi Chau at 19 Le Loi park, offered flowers at his house ( No.119 Phan Boi Chau, Hue) – where Mr.Phan lived for the last years of his life, and it is also his resting place.
Addressing the anniversary, Deputy Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Dung emphasized: “Phan Boi Chau is the person who sacrificed his life for the cause of national liberation movement and national revitalization. When President Ho Chi Minh was alive, he praised Phan Boi Chau as “a hero, an angel, a liberator who was worshiped by twenty million compatriots in slavery”.
The patriotic spirit, fighting will, lifestyle and revolutionary activities of Phan Boi Chau in the early 20th century made a significant contribution to “awakening the national soul”. At the same time, he was a bright example, an inspiration for generations, especially the young generation – the future owners of the country.
