“Border of Peace and Development”

TTH.VN - On the morning of October 22nd, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the High Command of Border Guard and the Provincial People's Committee co-organized and kicked off the Tenth Festival themed “Border of peace and development” for Cultural Propaganda Teams at frontier, sea and islands areas of the Central and Central Highlands.

The festival welcomed Major General Do Danh Vuong - Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of Border Guard High Command, Ms. Tran Thi Bich Huyen - Deputy Director of the Department of Ethnic Culture, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Representing the provincial leaders, Mr. Bui Thanh Ha - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Mr. Nguyen Dung - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended the opening ceremony.

Gathering 13 cultural propaganda teams of 13 Border Guard units in the Central and Central Highlands provinces, the festival would focus on propagandizing and praising the Party, Uncle Ho, the love of the homeland, and the solidarity between the people and the army at border areas; praising the border army's quality and it’s tradition of “Uncle Ho’s Army”; building borders of peace, friendship, cooperation and development. The festival would take place until October 24th.

In his congratulation speech, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Dung said that the festival would be a place to reflect the life of green-rank soldiers and ethnic minorities in the border areas. At the same time, it would create conditions for talented staff to contribute their talents, promote their abilities of composing, performing and creating valuable works to serve soldiers and people on the border.
