Complying with safety regulations when serving visitors returning

TTH.VN - Tourists start to return to Hue after a "frozen" period. Tourism leaders affirmed that although the pandemic situation is under good control, we should not be subjective and must abide by the most stringent measures of pandemic prevention in the process of serving customers.

Although a few, do not subjective

After more than 1 month without welcoming guests, tourist attractions, hotels, restaurants, etc.,officially re-open and serve guests. Hue relics opening for free in the next 8 days to stimulate visitors to come to Hue is information that helps businesses add more ready service packages to exploit right at the time of starting to welcome guests back, which is also the time for holidays on  April 30 and May 1 this year.

Mr. Le Ngoc Sanh, Chief of the Department of Tourism and Information informed that by the end of April 29th, the number of guests booking rooms at accommodation facilities across the province during the holiday was approximately 2,000 guests, mostly at resorts. Particularly at Alba Thanh Tan Resort (Phong Dien), the booking capacity is up to 100% in the first 2 days; Ana Mandara Resort (Phu Vang) has a reservation capacity of over 75%.

The lower rate is that in Lang Co Laguna (Phú Lộc) at about 25% of rooms registered for use. Bach Ma Village (Phu Loc), Eco YesHue Thac Mo (Nam Dong) have also recorded guests booking tickets back. Particularly at accommodation establishments, hotels in Hue city are mostly open to welcome guests, but only a few have reservations and just reaches about 10% of capacity.

Even though the number of visitors coming back to Hue has not been significant, the prevention of COVID-19 has not been reduced but even with higher requirements. Ms. Chau Thi Hoang Mai, CEO of Alba Thanh Tan Resort, said that in recent days, guests booking tickets to have fun during the day have been raised, but the resort had to refuse them because the resort had to limit the number of people coming, apart from in-house guests. In-house guests are mainly from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang, so the health check, health declarations and other measures have to be applied in the most complete way.

At Century Hotel, its representative said that since the decision to welcome visitors again was announced, the hotel have welcomed more or less 10 guests every day, mostly business travelers. Particularly on April 29th there are a number of travellers. All safety epidemic prevention and control activities are implemented as at the end of March 2020 - the peak period of disease prevention in Hue.

Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc, Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism said that we are currently "living together safely with COVID-19" to accomplish the dual goal under the direction of the Government, which is to fight against the disease and, at the same time, to develop economy. The question is how to live safely, use safe services, especially for tourism; visitors are from many regions and when going to Hue will also travel to many places, so there is the need to see to the safety .

Strictly comply with the set of safety regulations

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc, the pandemic situation is better controlled over the past time, but if we are subjective and neglect in management and customer service, it will be very dangerous because there is still a potential risk of disease among the community. Therefore, on April 29, the Department of Tourism sent a letter to the tourism businesses and ask them to strictly abide by the principles in the attractions, tourism services, and accommodation regulations before now.

"The Department will instruct and monitor continuously the implementation of businesses during the holidays," Mr. Phuc emphasized.

In recent days, Hue has begun to welcome a certain number of visitors, though there are not many

In the regulations on ensuring safety when welcoming visitors, the tourism industry specifically requires establishments to take measures to know clearly about health information and the health declarations according to the regulations of the visitors before during and after participating in the travel program through travel partners, and complete the accommodation declarations associated with the health declarations under the guidance of the Department of Tourism.

Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc said that the health declaration and understanding of each visitor to Hue is a prerequisite for monitoring and controlling the disease. One advantage is that recently, the tourism industry has implemented the software for electronic accommodation declaration, so the information is updated quickly and the database is also much more complete than before.

Tourism management agencies require that every organization and individual must be aware of the strict implementation of the guidelines according to the set of regulations, not to cope with them or to do by halves. The set of criteria is just a solution to limit immediate risks, the main thing here is still the sense of self-protection of every citizen, responsibility to the community in maintaining daily hygiene and implementation the principles of disease prevention.

Tourism industry expects that through strictly observing the set of safety regulations in the prevention and control of COVID-19 for tourism activities, businesses and local community groups not only prevent the pandemic efficiently but also contribute to creating a safe tourism image of Thua Thien Hue.
