The locals and visitors experiencing drawing folk paintings

At the exhibition, the locals of Quang Dien District and visitors have the opportunity to admire a collection of more than 100 Vietnamese folk paintings, covering four typical kinds of folk paintings namely Dong Ho, Lang Sinh, Hang Trong, and Kim Hoang. These are traditional kinds of folk paintings that have entered the subconscious of Vietnamese people.

“It can be said that this is an appearance of the ancient culture of Vietnamese people, presenting the quintessence of culture such as the art of woodcarving, painting, the art of using natural colors, and paper making techniques. All those things converge in the folk paintings. Thereby, people also realize that Vietnam's heritages are very rich and needs to be preserved," shared Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, Vice Chairman of People's Committee of Quang Dien District at the exhibition.

Also at the exhibition, experiencing activities including painting, calligraphy writing, or paintings printing, etc. will also be organized.

The event is being held from February 23 - 25.
