Eye-examining, counseling and providing free eyeglasses to the poor

TTH.VN - From the 19th to 30th of November, Hue Central Hospital, Base 2 (Phong An, Phong Dien) in collaboration with the Association for Development of Medicine in Vietnam (ADM) - France started examining and allocating free spectacles to poor local people.

Eye-examining

On this occasion, doctors conducted free physical examination for 2,000 people under difficult circumstances in Phong Thu, Phong Son, Phong Hoa, Phong Binh, Phong Chuong (Phong Dien) communes and Quang Phu, Quang An, Quang Phuoc, Quang Tho (Quang Dien). Among all the cases being examined, there are many students from Phong Son, Phong An, Phong Hien and Nguyen Dinh Chieu High School (Phong Dien).

Through screening, ADM will provide free eyeglasses for up to 500 cases if indicated for ophthalmologic disease.

Along with the free medical examination and treatment of ophthalmologic diseases, doctors and practitioners also conducted communication, counseling and updating of information to help people understand eye diseases and how to take care of their eyes in order to have better eye protection.
