Facilitating Hanesbrands Group to expand investment and development

At the meeting, Vice Chairman Phan Thien Dinh highly appreciated the garment production activities of Vietnam-Hue HanesBrands Co., Ltd. (HBI Hue), which made an important contribution to industrial, commercial and socio-economic development for the province and created employment for the local labor force.

Vice Chairman Phan Thien Dinh said that Thua Thien Hue has become a destination of many large corporations and enterprises in the world in many different fields, including Hanesbrands Group. The textile and garment industry is one of the industries that the province has been developing to become one of the textile centers of the country.

Therefore, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee wishes that Hanesbrands Group continue researching to expand investment and development in the province. On the provincial side, the province will create all conditions for the Group's production and business development, and solve some problems of supporting policies for the textile industry and tax policies that the Group is facing.

Mr. Jerry Cook - Vice Chairman of Hanesbrands Group, said that the Group now has 3 factories in Hue, employing more than 6,000 local workers. In addition to high quality production business, Hanesbrands Group also actively performs social responsibility activities.

Appreciating the cooperation and effective support of the province and other departments, agencies and localities for HBI Hue in the past, Mr. Jerry Cook expressed his desire to expand the factory, increase production scale in Vietnam as well as in Thua Thien Hue. The attention and facilitation of provincial leaders will be favorable conditions for the Group to continue to develop in the future.
