Four Uncle Ho’s relic sites proposed for relic ranking

TTH.VN - The Department of Culture and Sports has just agreed on the compilation and completion scientific dossiers to request recognition of special national relic sites for four national relics namely: the Memorial House of President Ho Chi Minh in No. 112 Mai Thuc Loan Street, the Memorial House for President Ho Chi Minh in Dương Nổ village, Dương Nổ village communal house and Quoc Hoc Hue High School.

Currently, Ho Chi Minh Museum in Thua Thien Hue is assembling the dossiers to submit to the Provincial People's Committee and later to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the National Cultural Heritage Council for consideration, and the Prime Minister’s decision following relic ranking procedures.

Thua Thien Hue had the footprints of our teenage President Ho Chi Minh and his family from 1895 to 1901 and from 1906 to 1909.

The province is home to roughly 20 relics and sites related to Uncle Ho; of which four sites have been recognized as national cultural and historical relics.

Quynh Teu, a man of the Co Tu ethnic group, who had contributed a lot to the revolution against the Americans in the mountainous area of Nam Dong, considered the silver bangle, the handkerchiefs, and the aluminum mug presented to him by Uncle Ho a treasure which should be cherished and well protected for his descendants.
