"France through the eyes of children"

"France through the eyes of children", or “La France vue à travers les yeux des enfants” in French, was the theme of the exhibition of children's paintings opened to the public by the French Institute in Hue on the afternoon of May 31, on the occasion of the International Children's Day (June 1).

The exhibition displays 35 colorful paintings of French by students from Le Loi Primary School and Phu Hoa Primary School.

Awarding the first prize to the author of the "Pont Neuf Bridge" painting

With the theme about France and unlimited materials, the students freely expressed their imagination and feelings to France through the paintings of Paris, the Triumphal Arch, the Eiffel Tower, the Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral, and the Seine River, etc. The 35 paintings displayed in the exhibition are also the ones participated in the painting contest with the same theme, organized by the French Institute in Hue for students in French classes of Le Loi Primary School and Phu Hoa Primary School.

The exhibition aims to create an environment and a playground for children, and to evoke and inspire art to them, helping them be creative and encourage those who have hobby and talent in painting to pursue their dreams.

The Organizing Committee awarded two third prizes, two second prizes, and one first prize to outstanding paintings. Among them, the first prize was given to the "Pont Neuf Bridge" painting by Chau Khai Hoan, a student of Phu Hoa Primary School.

The exhibition will take place until June 15.
