Free tickets for women wearing ao dai to visit Hue monuments on March 8

TTH.VN - On March 5, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Ngoc Tho signed a dispatch to request Hue Monuments Conservation Center to free the cost of visiting the relics for national and international women wearing Vietnamese traditional ao dai.

Specifically, from March 6 to 8, 100% exemption of ticket prices to visit Hue monuments is applied for national and international women wearing Vietnamese traditional ao dai to visit these places.

The activity is in response to the event "Ao Dai - Vietnamese Cultural Heritage" organized by the Central Vietnam Women's Union in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, continuing to promote the deployment of the campaign calling for Hue women to wear traditional ao dai to honor the graceful and gentle beauty of the women of the ancient capital, in order to "Make Hue more beautiful" in the eyes of friends and visitors.

Many images of Ao dai Hue and Hue ancient capital’s relics are being displayed by Kao Kuong, a Hue-born photographer (whose real name is Nguyen Cao Cuong) in a photo exhibition themed "The Ao dai which I love". The exhibition opened on March 2 at 87 Tran Quoc Thao Street, Ho Chi Minh City.

Following the success of previous collections such as “Xua va nay” (Past and Present), “Nhat Nguyet” (Sun and Moon), “Em den tu nghin xua” (You Come from Ancient Times), “Vu khuc gam lua” (Silk Dance), and “Bong - Hinh” (Shadow - Image), on the evening of December 14th, Trinh Hoang Dieu - a fashion designer, will unveil a new collection of Ao dai entitled “Mau thoi gian” (Colors of Time) at the art event and fashion show “Dieu - Mau thoi gian” (Dieu - Colors of Time) in Ho Chi Minh City.
