Hue City to organize World Environment Day with practical activities
TTH.VN - On the morning of May 21, Mr. Phan Thien Dinh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to discuss the plans to organize the events including World Environment Day (June 5), Action month on environment (from the end of May to June), Vietnam Sea and Island Week (June 1-8), World Oceans Day 2019 (June 8), and the “Green Sunday” project.

Specific activities responding to the above events will include a celebration meeting; the launch of the contest on initiatives and innovation of environmentally friendly models and products in Thua Thien Hue Province; the launch of “Green Sunday” project and sending off groups to come out to clean the environment; the announcement of the “Green Sunday” network; and the announcement of the "Green-Clean-Bright" set of evaluation criteria at commune, residential area / residential group / hamlet, and village levels.
The celebration meeting, and the activity of sending off groups to come out to clean the environment will be held on June 2 in Hue City. The organization of the activities to respond to the events in 2019 will be renewed in the implementation form, which will be economical and effective, focusing on practical and influential activities, with a strong influence on the awareness and the direct involvement of the whole political system and community.
