According to coach Le Van Loc, it is very difficult to win a medal in this tournament. It has taken the Hue Karatedo team more than 20 years to have an athlete gaining an achievement in this tournament, since athlete Pham Thi Huong Mai won a silver medal in the Asia championships that Vietnam hosted in 1994.
