Hue wrestling team wins 2 gold medals at the national classic – freestyle wrestling championships
The championships held in Thai Nguyen from October 6-15 attracted more than 120 athletes from 17 units nationwide. They competed in classic wrestling (9 weight classes), male freestyle wrestling (9 weight classes), female freestyle wrestling (8 weight classes).

Hue wrestling team participated in the championships with 9 athletes and won 7 medals (2 gold medals, 1 silver medal, 4 bronze medals). Two wrestlers winning the gold medals are Nguyen Thi My Hanh competing in the weight class of 60kg (female freestyle wrestling) and Pham Van Co competing in the weight class of 57kg (male freestyle wrestling).
Coach Dinh Van Kien, Head of the Provincial Wrestling Department shared that athlete Pham Van Co had suffered knee injury before the championships, so the team quite worried. However, the athletes overcame difficulties thanks to their experience and desires to win.
