International Conference on "Contract Law: A Comparison of Vietnamese Law and French law"
TTH.VN - Hue University College of Law – together with the Association of Legal Cooperation of Europe – Vietnam, held an international conference on "Contract Law: A Comparison of Vietnamese Law and French law". This is the second international conference so far co-organized by the University College of Law and the Association of Legal Cooperation of Europe – Vietnam.
Experts and their presentations at the conference
Attending the event was Ms. Laurence Mézin, Vietnam - Project Manager- Head of the Law-Justice-Governance Unit - French Embassy in Vietnam.
This is a chance for valuable experiences to be exchanged between Vietnamese and French experts, and representatives of related Vietnamese authorities. On that basis, they would earn and share their experiences in making and enforcing law.
At the conference the experts had the opportunity to exchange ideas for discussion with the aim to contribute to completing the legal system in contract law. The presentations at and articles related to the theme of the conference will be published in a yearbook, which will serve as a valuable reference resource for researching and teaching work.
Associate Professor, Doctor Nguyen Duy Phuong, Vice Dean of Hue University College of Law said, "In the context of integration, a comparison between Vietnamese law and the law of other countries to find out the common features and to make good the shortcomings in order that both the Vietnamese law and the international laws would work together harmoniously, which has been always the common desire of experts working in the field of law.”
