Journalism for Sustainable Development Award 2019: Thua Thien Hue Newspaper wins the A prize in the Collective award

TTH.VN - The Institute for Research on Development Communication (RED) - the organizer of the Award and an affiliation of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, has pronounced results of the Award. The examining board said that Thua Thien Hue Newspaper had a series of quality articles on all aspects of sustainable development.

In addition, Vo Dai Nhan - a journalist of the Newspaper, won a personal prize with 2 instalments about mass mobilization: “Khó vạn lần dân liệu cũng xong” (No matter how difficult it might be, the people will handle it), posted on the Newspaper’s issues dated on November 12th and 13th, 2019.

The Journalism Award for Sustainable Development began in 2018 as part of the partnership framework between RED and Global Affairs Canada. The overall objectives of the Award include encouraging the press to actively engage in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); dignifying the constant values of sustainable development and the contents of development policy in press products; and creating an annual event that connects the press with developers.

In 2019, RED and other international organizations accompanied the aforementioned press award, which attracted 600 works from press agencies nationwide!

The award will be awarded on January 10th, 2020 in Hanoi.
