Currently, all study materials on Kien Trung Palace (the Imperial) in the past five years have been completed. The center is completing the final procedures to start the restoration in early 2018.
Kien Trung Palace is one of five major works of Hue Citadel. This was the place where the families of King Khai Dinh and King Bao Dai lived from the early twentieth century to 1945. In 1947, it was completely destroyed by the war, and so far the remains have been only its foundations.
The project of restoration and embellishment of Kien Trung Palace includes the following categories: the restoration of Kien Trung Lau and its interior; the restoration and preservation of the foundations of Dong Cung Lau, Ngu Thu Phong, Vo Ho Gia Phong, and Ngu The Phong; the restoration and strengthening of the overall infrastructure system and landscapes.
