Korea gives cooperation on digital museum plan

From March 21 to 26, the delegation of Korea Institute of Science and Technology carries out a trip to visit Hue relics and has a working session with Hue Monuments Conservation Center.

On the afternoon of March 21, the delegation including 16 Korean members of Korea Institute of Science and Technology visited the Imperial Citadel, Hue Royal Ancient Antiquities museum, and enjoyed the art show at Duyet Thi Duong.
In the coming days, the delegation will make a trip to visit and carry out the field survey at some relics such as Tu Duc, Minh Mang, and Khai Dinh Royal Tombs, Tang Tho Lau, An Dinh Palace, Nam Dao Esplanade, Hon Chen Palace, Ho Quyen, Van Mieu, and Thien Mu Pagoda, etc.
The Korean delegation coming to Hue with an aim towards the cooperation between the Hue Monuments Conservation Center and the Graduate School of Cultural Technology, the Korea Institute of Science and Technology, collaborating in making the joint research on the project called “Building cultural and smart tourism for Hue city in Vietnam” with is funded by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
The cooperation project between the two sides is to research the necessary digital cultural heritage for a plan of a digital museum within the framework of KOICA project. The two sides agreed to suggest a joint cooperation plan on information technology and cultural technology towards the development of Hue cultural heritage and Hue city in the coming time.
This is the first international tourist delegation coming to Hue after a long time being shut down due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
