The researcher Nguyen Huu Thong shared about the study “The Fine Arts of the Nguyen Dynasty”

The book is a study with nearly 300 large-sized pages, including hundreds of extra copies of paintings, pictures, statues, providing readers with the valuable information about the Nguyen dynasty’s fine arts from the Lords established the Inner Realm (Dang Trong) to the period when Nguyen King unified the country.

In this book, Nguyen Huu Thong fully presented the characteristics of the fine arts of the Nguyen Dynasty including architecture, painting, graphic, sculpture, as well as folk and imperial decorative arts, etc. This is the essential documents for those who are interested in history, culture, and arts of Vietnam from the period of the Nguyen Lords to the Nguyen Royal Dynasty.

The researcher shared that this is the study he had “nursed” since he was a student, with his going through a long process of researching and surveying. To write this book, he carried out 3 trips across Vietnam to do research and collect documents.
