Attending the ceremony were representatives from the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam and United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
Thua Thien Hue is one of the cities in Central Vietnam having a high possibility to be affected by the tsunami, so it is necessary to early equip students with the knowledge and necessary skills to protect their lives.
Within the program’s framework, students participated in answering questions related to natural disasters such as earthquakes, typhoons and tsunamis. By this means, the program helped raise the students’ awareness in preventing and controlling as well as practice skills in response to natural disasters.
