Permanent Deputy PM Truong Hoa Binh congratulates on Vesak 2018

TTH.VN - On the afternoon of May 26, the government delegation led by Politburo member and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh visited and congratulated Buddhist monks and nuns of Thua Thien Hue province on the occasion of the Vesak 2562-2018.

The event was also participated by Mr. Le Truong Luu, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee; and Mr. Nguyen Van Cao, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
 
The delegation visited and gave flowers to congratulate Most Venerable Thich Duc Phuong, Deputy Patriarch of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) at Lam Son pagoda; Most Venerable Thich Duc Thanh, Head of Thua Thien Hue branch of the VBS Executive Board at Bao Quoc pagoda; and Most Venerable Thich Khe Chon, Deputy Head of Thua Thien Hue branch of the VBS Executive Board at Thien Minh pagoda.

The Permanent Deputy Prime Minister recalled the tradition and great contributions of Buddhism in the history of national construction and defense. The country’s history always recognizes and appreciates the contributions of Buddhism to the nation. For nearly two thousand years, the combination of Dharma and the nation has been a proud example of Vietnamese Buddhism. Buddhist culture has become a part of typical traditional Vietnamese culture.

The Permanent Deputy Prime Minister believes that Buddhist monks, nuns and followers will continue to further promote the tradition of great national unity and well implement the motto “Dharma- Nation- Socialism,” together with the people to promote the patriotic emulation movement, contributing to the successful implementation of industrialization and modernization of the country, and building a more civilized and rich country.
