Promoting closer cooperation between APEC economies and working groups
A number of issues were discussed at the APEC Policy Partnership on Women and the Economy second meeting (PPWE2) in Hue city on the morning of September 26. The meeting was organized by the Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs,and Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).

The meeting attracts many female delegates
Deputy Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Hong Lan affirmed that the APEC Women and the Economy 2017 Forum was an opportunity for Vietnam and the APEC economies to continue contributing to the common achievements and efforts; applaud the recognition of APEC leaders on the importance of women in the region; respond to the call of APEC leaders to promote and strengthen the economic power of women; on the basis of the key priorities identified at the women and the economy forums in the previous years, ensure the continuity of APEC cooperation and the objectives pursued by APEC; with the confidence in the good future that APEC will bring to women.
