Raking clam on Lap An lagoon

On the afternoon of April 12th, the People's Committee of Phu Loc District held a press conference to share information regarding the upcoming 15th anniversary of Lang Co Bay being recognized as a beautiful bay of the world.

In 2024, Lang Co Bay will celebrate its 15th year as a member of the Most Beautiful Bays in the World Club. It is time for the people of Hue and visitors to fully experience and connect with the natural resources of Lang Co, which have been generously bestowed upon this land.

The model of oyster farming combined with tourism on Lap An lagoon (Lang Co, Phu Loc) with a space for visitors to experience on their own, has brought an income of about 300 million VND / year to Mr. Tran Thien’s family; opened new directions of development.

From the second to the third month of the lunar calendar, Lap An lagoon (Phu Loc District) is bustling with talking and laughter of oyster fishermen in the harvest season. For them, this is a hard work, as they have to work very early in the morning to collect the oysters for early shipments. Each heavy load of oysters is both their effort and desire for a full life for their families and children. Therefore, for generations, fishermen in Lap An lagoon still stick to oyster farming, although it may be not "good season, and good price" every single year, they have better life thanks to the oyster farming.

On the 6th day of Tet (the Lunar New Year), villagers from An Cu Dong village of Lang Co township (Phu Loc district) and visitors crowded to Lang Co Bay for the traditional fish-worshiping and boat racing festival.
