Secretary of Provincial Party Committee Le Truong Luu presents a hanging to the Association

The Association of Historical Sciences of Thua Thien Hue province was founded on November 18th, 1988. It now has 216 members and 12 chapters.

Assoc. Prof., Dr. Do Bang, chairman of the Association of Historical Sciences of Thua Thien Hue province emphasized: “The association has promoted the development of History and other social sciences, and became a leading scientific institution in Thua Thien Hue province in researching history in particular, and social sciences in general.”

The association receives certificates of merit of the Provincial People's Committee

Speaking at the ceremony, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee Le Truong Luu highly appreciated the achievements and crucial contribution of the association in the past 30 years. “With its consciousness and responsibility for national history, the association has held many qualified and practical scientific workshops and seminars, that help clarify many issues about the nation's history and sacred sovereignty of seas and islands of the country in general and of Thua Thien Hue province in particular," said Mr. Le Truong Luu.

The Secretary requested the association to give counsel to provincial leaders on solving the problem of “conservation” and “development”, to further promote activities in scientific consultation, criticism and appraisal on conserving and promoting cultural and historical heritages in the process of the provincial socio-economic development.

On this occasion, on behalf of provincial leaders, Mr. Le Truong Luu presented the Association of Historical Sciences a hanging with a message of “Righteousness – Objectiveness – Comprehensiveness for the cause of historical sciences”. The Provincial People's Committee also awarded certificates of merit to the association for its achievement in 30 years of development.
