Sharing tourism development experience through public-private partnerships

A Japanese expert sharing experiences in tourism development in Kyoto

Since establishing diplomatic relations (in 1973), the relationship between Vietnam and Japan has been constantly strengthened and deepened. Thua Thien Hue province and Kyoto Prefecture in particular have cooperated and supported each other in many fields, especially in the field of tourism. The two localities have similarities with each other, both are ancient capitals, rich in tradition, culture and history.

The seninar aims to use international cooperation activities to enhance the promotion of tourism; contribute to the diversification of tourism products, the organization and management mechanism of destinations; at the same time, creating opportunities to learn and improve the quality of hotel, restaurant services and tourism development for Hue through public-private partnership experience in Japan.

At the seminar, tourism experts in Kyoto shared their experiences of solutions in improving the quality and attentiveness of Japanese people in tourism development, serving tourists and the cooperation between the State and the businesses in developing destinations and products, as well as stimulating tourism promotion.

This seminar is the succession of the first phase of the cooperation project to develop tourism destination between Kyoto Prefecture and Hue in 2018 and continues the cooperation between the two localities in the future.
