“Smile of Uncle Ho” wins the first prize in composition contest about Uncle Ho

In the afternoon of August 30th, the ceremony of awarding the “Ho Chi Minh President in composition of Hue plastic arts artists” contest was held at the Ho Chi Minh Museum. Attending the ceremony was Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Bui Thanh Ha.

52 artworks of 40 authors who are members of Thua Thien Hue Fine Arts Association, lecturers and students of Hue College of Arts - Hue University have participated in the contest.

According to the assessment of the Organization board, all the works are good in artistic quality, deep in content, rich and vivid in meaning, and there are many new searches and creation on the forms of expression. Especially, many young artists participated in the contest and won the high award of the Organization board.

The Organization board awarded 1 first prize, 1 second prize, 3 third prizes and 4 consolation prizes for excellent works. In particular, the first prize was given to artist Tran Huu Nhat with the artwork “Smile of Uncle Ho”, the second prize belonged to artist Vo Quang Phat with the work “President Ho Chi Minh through moments”.

The contest was launched on the occasion of the 128th birthday ceremony of President Ho Chi Minh on May 19 this year. This is the first time Thua Thien Hue province organizes a composition contest about Uncle Ho for the plastic arts artists.

48 selected works are exhibited at the Ho Chi Minh Museum on the occasion of September 2.

The exhibition lasts until November 20.
