The 2020 Central Region Postage Stamp Exhibition

On December 19th, the 2020 Central Region Postage Stamp Exhibition (HUESTEAMPEX 2020) opened at Hue General Post Office (No. 8 Hoang Hoa Tham Street).

The exhibition is organized by the Department of Information and Communication in coordination with the Provincial Post and Stamp Association with the theme “Heritage - Culture - Development and Integration” to develop the movement of stamp collection in the central region in response to the tourism national year - introducing heritages and culture of the Central area.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Hung, Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications - Chairman of the Thua Thien Hue Stamp Association, said that the 2020 Central Region Postage Stamp Exhibition is one of the practical activities of the Provincial Stamp Association. This contributes to raising awareness, love, and pride of the country and Vietnamese people, promoting Vietnam’s image, the Central area in general and the Central region of the three provinces including Quang Nam, Da Nang and Thua Thien Hue in particular.
The exhibition is also a meaningful cultural event and a festival day to exchange and share the experience of stamp collectors to improve the integration level as well as promote the stamp movement in the region and the country.

Collections with themes relating to the Party, Uncle Ho, natural heritages, and cultural heritages account for the majority of the stamp frames at the exhibition. Besides, the set of thematic stamps on the post’s formation and development is also displayed. Especially, there is also a display of items bearing imprints of time, such as ancient stamps and postcards that appeared in the 60s and 70s of the nineteenth century.
The exhibition takes place on December 19th and 20th, bringing together collections selected from three stamp associations of provinces and cities in the Central - Central Highland region, with more than 70 standard stamp frames of 16 authors in different ages, including many authors who won high prizes at regional, national and international stamp exhibitions.
