The cultural night “Stillness of Sense and Soul-Women Empowerment and Cultural Identity”
TTH.VN - In the form of side activities along with the APEC Women and the Economy 2017 Forum in Hue, the Ho Chi Minh City Peace and Development Foundation (HPDF) together with a group of Friends of Hue organized a cultural night event named “Stillness of Sense and Soul-Women Empowerment and Cultural Identity”on the evening of September 27, at the Hue Culture Museum.

The Cultural Night was attended by Mrs. Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh, Member of the Communist Party Central Committee, Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Women’s Union; Mrs. Dao Hong Lan, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) of Vietnam; Ambassador Mrs. Nguyen Nguyet Nga, Senior Consultant of APEC 2017 National Committee; and Mr. Nguyen Van Cao, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Thua Thien Hue province; as well as international guests including delegates representing different economies of APEC 2017; experts, intellectuals from Thua Thien Hue province…

Guests attend the Cultural Night
“A Feast at Peace: Stillness of Sense and Soul” was tales of music, costume and food by the Huong river, which took participants back in time, among locals who might have known life in a Vietnam of yesteryear, strolling around the halls of a refined French mansion in the ancient capital, enjoying the sounds of classical Hue singing, as well as discovering creations of a young local designer and learning all about the colorful diversity of ingredients and elaborate preparations of the vegan dishes.
