The walking street on the Huong River inaugurated
On the afternoon of January 15, Hue City People's Committee held the inauguration ceremony of the pilot project on the walking street on the Huong River funded by the Korean Government, and the project connecting the walking street on the Southern bank of the Huong River invested by Hue City People's Committee.

The ceremony were attended by Mr. Le Truong Luu, Member of Central Party Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; and Mr. Bui Thanh Ha, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee. On the Korean side, Mr. Kim Do Hyon, Republic of Korea Ambassador to Vietnam; and Mr. Kim Jin-oh, Director of KOICA Office in Vietnam attended the ceremony.
The detailed planning project of the two banks of the Huong River and the pilot project have a total capital of USD 6 million. They are of a non-refundable aid provided by the Republic of Korea Government, in which the pilot project costs nearly VND 53 billion including the categories such as building a wharf, an outdoor stage, a walking street, and a parking lot, etc. The highlight of this project is the pedestrian bridge on the Huong River with reinforced concrete structure, ironwood floor, and bronze railing.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Dung affirmed that the pilot project of the connection network of the walking route on the Southern bank of the Huong River completed would create impressive, attractive new spaces on the two banks of the Huong River and the City center area.
