Thua Thien Hue Science and Technology Innovation Awards launched
On August 7, the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations launched the 9th Thua Thien Hue Science and Technology Innovation Awards in 2018.

Thua Thien Hue Science and Technology Innovation Awards is organized every two years in even years. The 2018 awards will be held in seven fields including: information technology, electronics and telecommunications; mechanical and automation; biology and medicine serving production and life; material technology; technology aiming to protect the environment and rational use of resources; energy-saving and new energy-using technologies; and social sciences and humanities. The Organizing Committee will accept applications until 17:00 on October 1.
It is expected that the closing and awarding ceremony of Thua Thien Hue Science and Technology Innovation Awards 2018 will be held in November.
At the launching ceremony, the Organizing Committee introduced rules and notes of the Awards. Participants of the ceremony exchanged ideas on the intellectual property issue of the works participating in the Awards. They also proposed to raise the prizes for the winners; and to add science and humanities to the fields joining the National Science and Technology Innovation Awards.
