Mr. Tran Quang Hao, Director of Huetourist says Lang Co is always a well-chosen destination by many tourists, especially in the two most recent sea tourist seasons (2017 and 2018). Besides good facilities with various hotels and resorts which meet their needs, beautiful beaches, the clear blue water and some newly-added services are making Lang Co more attractive to tourists.
A tourist to Lang Co from Hanoi wrote on mytour.vn that she was overwhelmed when visiting Lang Co as a world’s beautiful bay on a sunny day and beholding the sight with her own eyes. From above, Lang Co was like an islet with fine sandy beaches surrounded by the deep blue sea.
She also added that it was so comfortable to lie on a roofed bench in the resort, enjoying the yellow sun and listening to the sounds of waves. In the afternoon sun, Lang Co turned magic yellow, making the sky and the sea become one. At that time, it was best to take a walk on flat, long beaches, feeling layers of soft sands under her feet.
Tourist services in Lang Co are diverse. It is no longer a stopover or a destination for merely sea tourism. At Lang Co, tourists can take the unique coral tour on Son Cha Islet or check in the sea route in Lap An Lagoon, thought to be even more beautiful than the one in Diep Son, Khanh Hoa.
According to Mr. Duong Dang Trung, Chairman of People’s Committee at Lang Co Town, besides the sea, cuisine with hundreds of kinds of seafood is also a strength of Lang Co. At present, many new and high-quality restaurants have been built. They can please the most picky diners.
According to tourist entrepreneurs, it is the geographical location of Lang Co that makes it become a good choice for tourists. Lang Co is situated between the two airports in Danang and Hue, very convenient for transportation. In addition, roads and railways are good as well. Mr. Tran Quang Hao says many visitors now choose to take the train from Hue City to Lang Co, which is very convenient for tour designing.
Mrs. Do Thi Thanh Tam, CEO of Thanh Tam Resort, says with a view to improving the quality of their services and meeting increasing demands of tourists to Lang Co, Thanh Tam has invested in building a new 3-star resort. In the future, if the number of tourists is stable, Thanh Tam will invest in other services, giving tourists more experiences in Lang Co.

Toward sea tourism
According to the statistics of Phu Loc People’s Committee, presently, Lang Co has 6 tourist areas, 50 hotels and guest-houses with a total of about 1.100 rooms. In 2018, it was estimated that over 1 million arrivals to Phu Loc, and Lang Co accounted for about 70%. In the summer of 2018, up to 80-100% of the hotel rooms were full.
According to the leaders of the Department of Tourism, with the tendency that tourists are increasingly interested in sea tourism combined with resting, Lang Co promises to become a hot destination in 2019 and the following years. In the time to come, the department will continue to collaborate with web pages and other channels to promote Lang Co.
An advantage which cannot be better for Lang Co is that the planning for Lang Co-Canh Duong National Tourist Area has been approved by the government, with the goal of making this area become a top destination not only in the Central but also in Vietnam. Many big investors also want to invest in luxury resorts, hotels and advanced tourist centers here. Mr. Nguyen Van Manh, Chairman of Phu Loc People's Committee is excited that Lang Co will make a big change in the near future. It will be a new tourist town in the south of the province, contributing to attracting more tourists to Hue.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Manh, 2019 marks the 10th year of Lang Co as the "World’s Beautiful Bay,” recognized by the Club of the world's most beautiful bays (Worldbays). To acknowledge the progress in tourism development, Phu Loc will organize “Lang Co - World’s Beautiful Bay" Festival, intended to be held in May 2019. Through this festival, Phu Loc wants to affirm that Lang Co is an attractive destination, thereby promoting and attracting visitors to Lang Co this summer.
