Training on sustainable tourism for Vietnamese and Thai experts

On the morning of October 2, this activity was held at Hue University to enhance relevant capacity and knowledge for nearly 40 experts on tourism from universities, departments and institutions training tourism in Thailand and Vietnam

From October 2 to 5, the trainees will be trained by tourism experts in universities at some European countries on many contents, including analyzing destination development, tourism development in Southeast Asia, paradoxes and challenges of sustainable tourism, sustainable tourism indexes, stakeholders of sustainable tourism, commitment of implementing sustainable tourism, etc.
Through international professional training, the Tourist project of building sustainable tourism capacity and innovative financial management strategies at educational institutions in Thailand and Vietnam aims to raise awareness and promotion on those two contents to ensure the development in the future of tourism which focuses on sustainability.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc, Deputy Director of Tourism Department, after the training program related to this project, Hue University and Tourism Department will cooperate to form a center for training skills to develop sustainable tourism in Thua Thien Hue to help enterprises which have been invested to tourist activities in the province have more relevant knowledge and skills. Thereby, raising their responsibility to community when implementing tourist activities.
