The fair was opened with 8 stalls including rice, cooking oil, fish sauce, seasoning powder, toothpaste... The "customers" of the "Union Market Fair" are more than 600 union members and workers of trade unions under the Hue city Confederation of Labour, who are members of poor households, near-poor households; unemployed workers or underemployed ones, leading to loss of income, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Each “customer” will be given a purchasing voucher worth more than 200,000 VND to buy the above products. The market fair will take place once a week on Friday and last until the end of July 2021.
These activities aim at affirming the role of trade unions in performing their functions and duties, taking care of and protecting legitimate rights and interests of union members and employees, demonstrating the spirit of reciprocity and share with union members in Hue city.
On this occasion, GrabFood Company also signed a contract with Hue city Confederation of Labour tooffer 100,000 free meals to poor union members and workers in the city.
