Vice Chairman Phan Thien Dinh welcomed the Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association from Ibaraki prefecture

TTH.VN - On the afternoon of November 22, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Thien Dinh held a meeting with the delegation of the Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association of Ibaraki prefecture (Japan) led by Mrs. Yamaguchi Yachie, Chairman of the Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association of Ibaraki prefecture.

At the meeting, Mrs. Yamaguchi Yachie thanked the provincial leaders for the warm welcome during this visit and expressed her impression about the natural beauty and landscapes of Thua Thien Hue province. She also introduced the potentials and strengths of Ibaraki prefecture, including advantages in high-tech agriculture, mechanics, ... of Tsukuna area of the prefecture which has many advanced training and research institutions of Japan.

Mrs. Yamaguchi Yachie and the delegates were willing to find out about the investment environment as well as to promote economic and cultural exchange activities between Thua Thien Hue and Ibaraki prefecture in the coming time. In addition, this trip to Hue also aimed to continue the cooperation with Hue College of Foreign Languages, Hue University as well as to support and give presents to disadvantaged children at An Tay Children Protection Center.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Phan Thien Dinh thanked the valuable support of the Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association of Ibaraki prefecture and affirmed that Thua Thien Hue would develop as a green, sustainable cultural heritage city. Japan was one of the province's top priority partners in the cooperation for investment and socio-economic development in the locality.

The Vice Chairman expected that, through this meeting, the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association of Ibaraki prefecture would continue to encourage the prefecture authorities and its people to enhance cooperation and exchanges with localities in the province; at the same time, Ibaraki enterprises would be encouraged to come and invest in Thua Thien Hue in the coming time.
