Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh warms up Tet atmosphere in Thua Thien Hue

TTH.VN - On the afternoon of January 24, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh paid a visit and handed gifts to the poor families, policy-favored households and disadvantaged children in Phu Vang district on the occasion of the coming Lunar New Year holidays (Tet).

Vice President presenting gifts to the blind people of Phu Vang District

The central-government leader was accompanied by the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Le Truong Luu.

The Vice President attended and participated in the ground-breaking ceremony of the Secondary School of Vinh Phu Commune, Phu Vang District. The project has a total budget of VND 5 billion, and is built on an area of 20,000m2.

On this occasion, the Vice President awarded VND 700 million to build new rural roads and Cultural House of Phu Hai Commune; 250 gift sets, each worth VND 600,000, to the blind people of Phu Vang District; 250 gift sets for children with disabilities in Hue City, each worth VND 500,000; and 100 scholarships to poor pupils with high academic achievements of Phu Mau Secondary School, each worth VND 600,000. The total value of these donations is over VND 6 billion, funded by Kim Oanh Charity Fund.

On the afternoon of the same day, Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh also visited and presented gifts to two policy-favored households in Hue City. On January 25, the Vice President will head to A Luoi to continue to bring a warm Tet atmosphere to more people.
