Bumper crop of lilies

Every year in April, lilies start to bloom and flood the markets and streets. This flower called “loa kèn,” “huệ tây,” or “bách hợp” in Vietnamese, has a pure elegant white and a gentle fragrance. In Hue, Thuy Bieu ward is considered the "capital" of lilies, supplying the flowers to the market of Hue and surrounding areas.
