Women - the savior of the world economy in the future
It is the speech of Mr. Vu Tien Loc, President of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) at the opening of the 2017 APEC Public - Private Dialogue on Women and the Economy within the framework of the APEC Women and the Economy 2017 Forum which took place in Hue on September 28.
The meeting was attended by Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh; Deputy Executive Director of The United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women and UN Assistant Secretary-General, Ms. Lakshmi Puri.

“She Means Business” is one of the messages of the forum to 21 APEC member economies
"Within the framework of this forum, we talk about women and the economy with the message "She Means Business", I look forward to the delegates sharing good practices and good cases of global businesswomen and making recommendations to leaders of APEC economies on solutions for the development of women-owned businesses; as well as setting out measures for unions and businesswomen community to support women more effectively in a creative, humanistic, inclusive economy that APEC is looking forward to. I also urge businesswomen and their associations to set up the APEC Businesswomen Network to share, learn and interact with each other," said Mr. Vu Tien Loc.
Women delegates exchange on the theme "women and the economy"
In that spirit, the delegates from the 21 APEC members exchanged and shared on the issues as follows: enhancing the economic, financial and social integration of women; the ongoing change of businesswomen in the global market; boosting the development of businesswomen in the digital age; building a vision of women's economic empowerment in economic sector in the APEC region and around the world.
