World’s Future largely depends on younger generation
APEC 2017 Voices of the Future (VOF 2017) opened on the morning of November 6 in Da Nang University, with the participation of hundreds of delegates.

“The 4th Industrial Revolution is exerting a strong impact, on the international scale, with tremendous growth opportunities, but there are also challenges requiring drastic changes in thinking and human creativity. World’s Future largely depends on younger generation, who own knowledge, profuse energy and unlimited creativity,” Mr. Huynh Duc Tho, Chairman of Da Nang Provincial People’s Committee affirmed the importance of APEC 2017 Voices of the Future (VOF 2017) within the framework of high-level meeting.
In his speech at the opening ceremony, Mr. James Soh, Co-chairman of the APEC Voices Leadership Council emphasized the importance of annual VOF events as a chance for young leaders to learn about their generation, other economies and future vision development. The priority of younger people today is “How to bring Asia-Pacific community to a better future”.

Taking place from November 6 to 10, VOF 2017 aims to increase knowledge about APEC goals and purposes, contributing to friendly, united and cooperative relations between young people of APEC member economies, as well as exchanging opinions, knowledge about global problems, improving the youth’s role and creating condition for the youth to express their aspirations to APEC leaders.
