Thua Thien Hue set up a health delegation with 12 people, expecting to set off around mid-July, 2021 to support Ho Chi Minh City. It is made up of 20 medical officers working in the Department of Health; 30 medical officers working in Hue Central Hospital, and 70 cadres, lectures, and students of Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy.
At the meeting with the Department’s group, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Kiem Hao, Director of the Department of Healthy acknowledged and highly appreciated the spirit of volunteering of 20 medical officers on a mission in Ho Chi Minh City.
“This is a noble gesture of medical staff, a sentiment, as well as a part of the responsibility of the Party Committee, Government, and Thua Thien Hue people to join hands with Ho Chi Minh City to check the COVID-19 pandemic. Although going without setting the day of coming back, it is cock-sure that the department’s leaders will be always by the delegation’s side, as well as listen and share difficulties, and deal with the arising problems. The most desirable thing is that the delegation will work well, strictly adhere the safety principles of disease prevention, avoiding cross-infection and ensure the safety of their health,” Director of the Department of Health Tran Kiem Hao emphasized.
In the spirit of the whole country joining hands in COVID-19 prevention, on this occasion, Thua Thien Hue Provincial People’s Committee also supports Ho Chi Minh City 5.000 COVID-19 rapid antigen test kits.
*Through this launch, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy said that more than 250 volunteers meeting the conditions and requirements are ready to be on duty to support Ho Chi Minh City fighting against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mr. Vo Van Khoa, Secretary of the Youth Union of Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy shared that the university’s units selected volunteers based on the conditions, the requirements of having vaccinated, ensuring the anti-pandemic regulations and student’s study and exam situation.
