Leaders of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy presenting gifts and protective equipment to representatives of the volunteer delegation
Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy has established the 4th volunteer delegation with 12 members, including 1 officer and 11 resident doctors to support and participate in the prevention and control of COVID-19 pandemic in Binh Tan district, HCMC. The volunteering period is expected to last for 1 month, starting from August 23.
To support the delegation, the school in collaboration with Hue Railway Transport Branch arranged a train from Hue Station to Saigon Station, scheduled to depart on the evening of August 22.
Before leaving to join the fight against the pandemic, the staff and doctors participating in the volunteer delegation were tested for Realtime RT-PCR with negative results and had been vaccinated against COVID-19. The school also organized an intensive training course, including basic knowledge on prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic to help the staff and doctors to be ready to participate in supporting effectively the prevention and control of the pandemic, focusing on a number of key contents as recommended by the Ministry of Health.
Previously, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy sent 3 volunteer delegations including officials, doctors, and students to support HCMC and the southern provinces to fight the pandemic.
