This is the third time that Hue Central Hospital reinforced medical staff for the operation of the Intensive Care Unit for COVID-19 patients, supporting Ho Chi Minh City in the fight against the pandemic.

From August 24, 2021 to September 24, 2021, the Center received and treated 790 patients; of which, 220 patients have been discharged; the proportion of patients with severe progression out of the total number of patients being treated decreased to 50%.
Over the past 2 months, the strategy to reduce severe cases and deaths at the Center has been effective, the number of patients transferred with severe and critical COVID-19 has decreased considerably.
In order to operate the pandemic prevention at the Center, the Hospital continued to plan to change personnel to participate in pandemic prevention and control, on September 25, Hue Central Hospital sent 115 medical staff to the Center, withdrawing 83 ones back to Hue. In the coming time, Hue Central Hospital will continue to reinforce more medical staff to maintain the human resources participating in the fight against the pandemic.
Along with the activities in Ho Chi Minh City to prevent the pandemic, Hue Central Hospital is planning to establish and convert the function of Hue Central Hospital Base 2 into a COVID-19 Resuscitation Center of the Central region, in a larger scale of 500-600 beds in accordance with the order from the Ministry of Health.
