The relics include the Imperial Institution Quoc Tu Giam, the King tombs of Emperor Thieu Tri and Tu Duc, Nam Giao Esplanade, and Cần Chánh Palace.

Accordingly, the total investment for the project of the Imperial Institution Quoc Tu Giam and that of Emperor Thieu Tri's tomb is over 60 billion VND each. Over 99 billion VND has been allocated for the restoration and preservation of Emperor Tu Duc’s tomb; over 40 billion VND for Nam Giao Esplanade; and nearly 200 billion VND for Can Chanh Palace.

Among the five relics to be restored, Can Chanh Palace (built in 1804) was one of the earliest structures built in the Imperial Citadel, now a ruin due to the war in 1947.
