The displaying space of Tradition and Uncle Ho’s Memorial House
In 1990, on the 100th birthday anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh, to preserve the special imprints of President Ho Chi Minh at this historical school, his monument was erected at the center of the high school.
Over the time, the Tradition and Uncle Ho’s Memorial house of Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted has become a sacred place to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh. To upgrade the displaying space of the memorial house, Ho Chi Minh Museum of Thua Thien Hue province coordinated with Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted to carry out the comprehensive renovation for this house, including renewing the downgraded displaying system by the more modern materials in this new solemn space.
The second floor is the memorial space about President Ho Chi Minh with over 100 documents and artifacts, clearly depicting the image of the schoolboy Nguyen Sinh Cung over the years studying and participating in patriotic activities at Quoc Hoc School.
The first floor introduces the tradition of Quoc Hoc Hue High School with also over 100 documents and artifacts, including valuable ones such as the signboard of the official name of Quoc Hoc High School in Chinese characters and the bronze bell suspended in front of the old school gate.
The tradition room after the renovation will be supplemented more updated documents and photos; providing information through museum language and new displaying solutions with thematic focus, directing viewers’ attraction with easy-to-understand and memorable stories.
