According to the painter Nguyen Thien Duc, Chairman of Thua Thien Hue Fine Arts Association, the COVID-19 pandemic has brought many challenges, but it has not hindered the spirit of artists. The pieces are diverse in terms of materials and shaping techniques, showing that the artist's creative needs are great. However, this year, not all the works on display here convey the typical nuances of Hue fine arts.
On this occasion, Thua Thien Hue Fine Arts Association decided to award the annual fine art awards to three art pieces, including "Autumn colors" by the painter Nguyen Thi Hien Le, "Belief" by the sculptor Nguyen Van Tho, and "The source of life" by the sculptor Le Ngoc Thai. The three pieces "Faded Citadel" by the painter Le Ba Cang, "Ho Phap 1" by the painter Nguyen Thi Hue and “African tulip tree" by the painter Do Van Lan were nominated for the Thua Thien Hue art and literature prize 2021.
