"The hue of vitality" is a media creation contest to spread the beauty of traditional costumes, focusing on the ao dai, the five-panel ao dai, the áo tấc (the ceremonial robe), and the Nhat Binh ao dai, etc.
Contestants, who are Vietnamese and foreigners working and living in Vietnam, can participate individually or in groups. Contest entries are made in the forms of videos or photographs. The beautiful and meaningful ones can be used in media communication, spreading the beauty of Vietnamese traditional costumes.
For the contest entries made in the form of videos, they need to have characters wearing traditional costumes such as ao dai, five-panel ao dai, Nhat Binh ao dai, and áo tấc. etc. For the contest entries made in the form of photographs, they need to have characters wearing five-panel ao dai, Nhat Binh ao dai, and áo tấc, etc. (not including ao dai). The entries must be made in Hue, and done no later than six months before the competition date.
The contest entries will be submitted from 4th to 20th January. The contest organizing board will evaluate, and post the qualifying videos on the Legend of Hue fan page for the premiere round, which will be voted at the specified time outlined on the contest.
In the category of excellent media videos, the contest organizing board will award prizes including the impressive prize, the first prize, the second prize, the third prize and the lucky prize. In the category of excellent media photographs, the contest organizing board will award prizes including the first prize, the second prize, and the third prize.
The Legend of Hue, which is sponsored by Thua Thien Hue Institute for Development Studies, operates with the aims to share the values of the nation's culture and history.
