Prof. Dr. Hoang Dao Kinh, architect, introduces the book and Hue architectural heritage

Made by the Institute of Conservation of Monuments, the publication introduces 7 sets of drawing documents, including Ngo Mon, Trieu Mieu, Hien Lam Cac, Ta Vu - Can Chanh palace, Thai Binh Lau, Xung Khiem ta and Du Khiem ta. The drawings presented in this booklet were made 40 years ago. They are the first and precious drawings, contributing to the preservation of the unique architectural and cultural heritage of Hue ancient capital.

Since the early 80s of the previous century, the Central Monuments Preservation and Repair Workshop (now the Institute of Conservation of Monuments) under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has carried out urgent restoration of relics Trieu Mieu, Hien Lam Cac, Thai Binh Lau, and Ta Vu belonging to Can Chanh Palace in the Citadel; Xung Khiem ta and Du Khiem ta at the tomb of Emperor Tu Duc. Before that, the relics of the architectural complex of Hue's royal court had never been drawn and built in a scientific record. Skilled technicians have meticulously measured, built the drawings completely manually, without any technical means.

The book is a valuable document about Hue architectural heritage as well as an effort the Institute of Conservation of Monuments to preserve this precious heritage.
