At the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Phuong highly appreciated the multi-faced support of the Government of France to the locality in the fields of socio-economic development, culture, heritage conservation, healthcare, training and education, and investment cooperation, etc.
Especially, Hue Festivals have always been received both material and spiritual support from the French government in general and the French Senate, French localities in particular. Thua Thien Hue is one of three Vietnam localities having French Cultural Centers, now is French Institute in Hue.
Thua Thien Hue desired that the support from France to the province would continue in various fields, in which priority is given to the solutions and plans to reform healthcare policies, supporting high-level training for medical staff; enhancing the programs of exchanges, sharing experiences, and transferring advanced and modern techniques in the medical field, and making the decentralized cooperation with French localities in French promotion.
H.E. Nicolas Warnery, Ambassador of the Republic of France to Vietnam, affirmed that the relationship between France and the province was a good one and carried the historical depth. Over time, Thua Thien Hue provincial leaders and senior delegations of the French government have had a great number of official visits and working trips. H.E. Nicolas Wanery committed that the French government would continue to support and accompany with the province in cultural activities and the work of Hue cultural promotion to French partners, etc.
