The ceremony of dropping the flower garlands and colored lanterns is to pray for the country to be peaceful, for the people to live in peace and happiness, for the world to be free from wars - natural disasters - pandemics, and for sentient beings to be at peace.
Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Binh said that Thua Thien Hue is a civilized land, with a rich cultural history, glorious revolutionary tradition, many cultural heritages, historical relics, and hundreds of festivals imbued with Hue and national cultural identity.
This place is also a major religious and belief center of the Central - Central Highlands and the whole country, in which Buddhism is a religion that has a great role and influence in the lives of the people of the ancient capital and becomes a part of the spiritual culture, contributing to enriching the cultural identity of Hue and Hue people.
In the spirit of Buddhism accompanying the nation in the idea of "protecting the nation and the people", for many years, the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha together with monks, nuns and Buddhists in the province organized many practical, meaningful, and "beneficial religion, beneficial life" Buddhist activities through traditional Buddhist festivals, in which there are many events in the Festival.
“All of them vividly represent the incarnation spirit of Hue Buddhism on the road of national integration and development, contributing to the construction of an advanced culture imbued with national identity, uniting and striving for the goal of a rich people, a strong country, democracy, justice and civilization, and aiming to build Thua Thien Hue into a Municipality on the basis of preserving and promoting the value of the ancient capital's heritage and Hue cultural identity according to Resolution 54," said Mr. Binh.
