In fact, the renowned artist was born in 1921, yet the celebration supposed to take place last year in 2021 was posponed until now due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Born in Quang Tri province, Le Ba Dang moved to France in 1939 and studied at Toulouse Academy of Art. Later, he became a famous painter in Europe who was viewed as a master artist of the East and West art worlds. He passed away in 2015 in Paris, aged 94.
Lebadang Memory Space is a special architectural work built in his own artistic language. Also on his birthday celebration, there was an awarding ceremony for Le Ba Dang Creativity Awards and a donation ceremony to donate works of art to Lebadang Memory Space.
