This has been approved by the City People's Committee to contribute to building and affirming the brand name of Thuy Bieu’s Thanh Tra Pomelo, and also to create a place for visiting and shopping for Thanh Tra Pomelo and other local specialties.
With the theme "Thuy Bieu Thanh Tra Pomelo - a Hue flavor", the festival will be held on the campus of Nguyen Van Troi Secondary School at 540 Bui Thi Xuan Street, in Thuy Bieu Ward. This biannual festival is hoped to promote the products of the ancient capital of Hue towards tourism and service development.
The program includes several activities such as an opening and closing ceremony, a contest for the best Thanh Tra Pomelo fruits, stalls for buying and selling pomelos, handicrafts, and agricultural products…
Also, many meaningful and exciting activities will be organized such as a space for performance, display, and introduction of the Thanh Tra Pomelo tree; Thanh Tra offering rituals at the two communal houses of Nguyet Bieu and Luong Quan villages; food fairs, cultural and art activities, along with more folk games.
On this occasion, Hue city will foster a linkage between travel agencies and owners of gardens and Rường ancient houses to organize community and ecological tours in Thuy Bieu ward.
