Despite the heavy rain on the morning of October 10, leaders of the Tourism Department, Hue Monument Conservation Center, and the Provincial Tourism Association organized a warm welcome and gave flowers and gifts to the group’s members.

Mrs. Beatrice Sorbets and Mr. Baptiste Poincignon Versini (from Paris, France) expressed their delightedness and said that they were excited to visit Hue Ancient Capital. On behalf of the tourist group, they both were grateful to be thoughtfully welcomed by the leaders of the tourism sector. At the same time, they felt enjoyable to directly discover the heritage and the culture of Hue with the image of ao dai Hue, which they had just only seen in movies before.

According to the schedule, the tourist delegation was divided into 2 small groups to visit Hue in the morning and afternoon of October 10. The schedule of the group included visiting Hue Imperial Citadel, Minh Mang Mausoleum, Hue garden houses, and enjoying local food before returning to the cruise.

Previously, on the night of October 9, the luxury yacht Le Lapérouse docked at Chan May port. This is the first cruise taking international tourists via sea route coming back to Thua Thien Hue after 3 years of interruption due to the COVID-19 pandemic; this is considered a positive signal of Hue tourism recovery, kicking off the operation of international cruise tourism with the influx of tourists that Hue reached the good attraction before the outbreak of the pandemic.

Departing from Indonesia and passing Singapore before arriving in Vietnam, the cruise’s program of discovering the coast and other famous destinations of Vietnam last from 8 to 11 days. It is known that the yacht Le Lapérouse will come back to Hue 2 more times this October.

The superyacht Le Lapérouse is a high-class tourism cruise with a luxurious design, over 130m long, 18m weight, 28m height, and is built by the VARD shipyard (Norway). Le Lapérouse is introduced as an environmentally friendly cruise with modern equipment, 5-star services, and operated by Ponant cruise line.
