Bringing Vietnamese goods to remote areas

According to the Department of Industry and Trade, the pandemic is basically under control during the Lunar New Year this year, and businesses are recovering from the pandemic. However, the complicated developments of the world situation, high world inflation and the decline in global economic growth have affected the economy of Vietnam in general and Thua Thien Hue in particular, making the supply and prices of goods volatile, and purchasing power difficult to predict.

In response to this fact, the Department of Industry and Trade has planned to coordinate and support businesses to strengthen the connection of supply and demand; find new sources of goods, specialties, etc., to serve people's needs, stimulate consumption demand; strengthen inspection and strictly handle acts of speculation, hoarding, raising prices; prevent supply disruption to meet the production and consumption needs, especially before and after Tet

In addition, it is necessary to proactively coordinate with relevant localities and agencies to closely monitor market developments, supply, and commodity prices, focusing on necessities for Tet such as food, processed products, fresh food (especially pork), gasoline, etc., while at the same time making reliable market prediction, determining the supply sources to promptly direct businesses to ensure goods for meeting the consumption demand during the Tet holiday.

“Currently, the Department continues to promote the implementation of the campaign “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods”, which encourages large enterprises and distributors in the area to build and expand the distribution network of Vietnamese products, proactively bring Vietnamese goods to mountainous and remote areas as well as industrial parks through market days on which goods are brought to the countryside or sold by mobile vehicles, etc., to introduce and supply high-quality goods manufactured within the country which have certified food safety and hygiene as well as reasonable prices, meeting people's demand for consumption and shopping during Tet,” said the leader of the Department of Industry and Trade.
